As a young boy, every day my father and his mother delivered meals to his immigrant grandfather, Crispino. Each visit, Crispino delighted his grandson with stories about the old world. The tales were filled with dragons, trolls and other fantastical creatures. Amid a battle between a ship and sea creature, smaller figures, including mermaids and knights, fill out the work and the tale.
